Create music in creto

Create music in creto from a written idea or your own lyrics. Explore a song direction, make a backing track for a demo, or try a different mood before recording your own performance.

From idea to song

  1. Start with a scene, feeling or musical idea. Include the genre, instruments and energy you want to hear.
  2. For a song with your own words, choose the lyrics mode and enter your lyrics. Choose instrumental when you want music without a lead vocal.
  3. Select a model and review the credits shown before creating. Available controls and results depend on the selected model.
  4. Follow the request in History. Listen to completed tracks in Library and use them as the starting point for another idea.

Try a specific musical direction

Example prompt: “An intimate indie folk demo about leaving a familiar city. Fingerpicked acoustic guitar, soft bass and brushed drums. A quiet verse that opens into a hopeful chorus.”

For an instrumental, try: “A warm lo-fi backing track for practicing melodies, with mellow electric piano, a relaxed drum groove and no vocals.” These are written prompt examples; the generated result will vary.

Questions before creating

Do I need to sign in?

Sign in to submit a generation request and keep your tracks in your account. Model availability and the credits needed are shown in the editor. See Prices for current plans.

Can I publish the result?

Check the selected model’s terms and creto’s Terms of Service before publishing or commercial use. You must have the necessary rights to any lyrics, recordings and other references you provide.

How do Cover and Vocal Cover differ?

Cover creates a new musical interpretation from source audio. Vocal Cover changes the singing voice while aiming to retain the original performance; its processing availability is shown on that page.
